Lockton launches Professional and Executive Risk, transforming its global financial lines business

London, February 4th 2025 – Lockton, the world’s largest independent insurance broker, has appointed Mark Jones as its new International Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.  Mark has over two decades of financial leadership experience in the global insurance brokerage sector. He joins Lockton from Marsh, where he was CFO for Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) and CFO for Marsh Specialty and Global Placement. His responsibilities included driving strategic initiatives and enhancing reporting capabilities. As International CFO, Mark will actively contribute to Lockton’s growth strategy across five regions: Europe, MENA, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. He will focus on investment opportunities and oversee strong financial management to support client priorities and new products and services.  Chris Brown, CEO of Lockton International, stated: “Mark’s vast experience and proven track record in the global insurance sector make him an exceptional addition to Lockton. Under his leadership, I am confident he will continue to build our financial strength and maintain market-leading organic growth rates in our International business. “Mark’s appointment follows Andrew Monkhouse’s decision to retire as Lockton’s International CFO. During his eight years with Lockton, Andrew has been instrumental to our clients and driving our international success. His leadership has extended right across the global finance community. He will work closely with Mark and support his transition over the coming months.” Reflecting on his new role, Mark Jones, International CFO at Lockton, said: “I am very excited to join Lockton and contribute to its dynamic, client-first culture. I look forward to working with the team to expand and improve what we can do for clients.” Mark’s career journey began at PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked for 12 years, specialising in financial services. He subsequently joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), where he held senior finance leadership roles, including Deputy Group Finance Director and CFO for JLT Specialty. Following Marsh’s acquisition of JLT in 2019, Mark served as CFO for Marsh Specialty and Global Placement and later Mercer Marsh Benefits.
